Collective Worship and Daily Assemblies

At Wawne Primary School, we hold a daily act of collective worship in line with the requirements set out by the Department for Education. As a non-faith primary school, our assemblies are broadly Christian in character, while also reflecting the diverse beliefs and values of our school community.

Daily assemblies provide an opportunity for pupils to come together to reflect, celebrate shared values, and consider important themes such as kindness, respect, resilience, and responsibility. These gatherings may include music, stories, moments of reflection, and opportunities for pupils to contribute and take part.

We aim to create an inclusive and respectful environment where all children feel welcome, regardless of their personal beliefs. Parents have the right to withdraw their child from collective worship, and we are happy to discuss this further with any families who have questions or wish to explore alternatives.
