Pupil Premium Funding
The Government believes that the Pupil Premium Funding, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to address the current inequalities between children, ensuring that funding to tackle disadvantage reaches pupils who need it most.
The Pupil Premium Funding that is received by the school annually is used in a variety of ways in order to improve pupil attainment and to help overcome any barriers to learning. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for pupils. The Pupil Premium is allocated for children who are entitled to Free School Meals (FSM), are 'Children Looked After' or have parents in the Armed Services.
At Wawne Primary School we believe that all children should have equal access to high quality education to enable them to reach their full potential.
Please follow the link below to read our Pupil Premium Strategy documents which details more information about our provision for those children eligible for the Pupil Premium.
